Orlando, Fla. (Feb. 7, 2011) -- LimpingFrog Productions proudly presents Beach Pride, the definitive documentary that honors the history and passion of Cocoa Beach High School's 22nd Annual Alumni Football Game. The 53-minute film fills the small screen with archive photos and videos interlaced with memorable commentary from players and coaches who donned Minutemen helmets and jerseys as early as 1972. These insightful scenes are proceeded with hard hits, remarkable runs and phenomenal passes that energized a usually tranquil beach town.

"This was by far our most ambitious project," said John Carkeet, Executive Producer for LimpingFrog Productions. "Documenting a sporting event with scores of players is a challenge in and of itself. Our team met that challenge by combining pre-game interviews and old game footage with heart pounding action captured from four camera angles."

In addition to the feature presentation, Beach Pride boasts a plethora of bonus material such as deleted scenes, play-by-play coverage of the entire game and a commemorative slideshow.

"None of this would have proved possible without the unprecedented support from Cocoa Beach High School and its alumni. My team and I especially thank Coach Tony Piccalo for granting us unrestricted access to the locker room, archive library, stadium, sidelines and even the playing field."

Beach Pride is sold exclusively through www.limpingfrog.com/beach-pride for $24.95. (Nov. 25, 2010) - LimpingFrog Productions returns to the gridiron on Nov. 26 to produce its definitive documentary for Cocoa Beach High School's 22nd annual Alumni Football Game. The game kicks off on Black Friday night at 6:30. However, cameras will roll hours before the first fan pays his $5 entry.

Thanks to full access granted by Tony Piccalo, head football coach for CBHS, Team LFP will go beyond the bleachers and onto the field and even into the locker room. By combining in-your-face interviews with the "fly on the wall" approach to documentary filmmaking, LimpingFrog Productions will capture the action, passion, history and humor that drew 60 men to don helmets and pads for one more Friday night.

"This is an exciting and emotional event for the Cocoa Beach Community," said Adam Lee, post-production supervisor for LimpingFrog Productions. "I'm honored that we will give the players, coaches and fans a memorable tribute to this proud beachside tradition."

The NFC, a subsidiary of the 48 Hour Film Project, dares movie makers from dozens of countries to write, shoot and edit a short film in a single weekend. Nearly 200 teams participated in this year’s competition that launched on Oct. 23. Of those, 164 postmarked their completed projects by the Oct. 26 deadline. In the ensuing weeks, Carkeet, along with 12 other judges, each review and grade a score of submissions.

“My sample [of short films] reveals the entire entertainment spectrum,” claimed Carkeet. “The level of creative talent and technical expertise greatly differed from film to film, but I feel safe to say that every team maximized their abilities throughout the production process.”

The NFC staff will post the finalists on its Web site in December. There, visitors may watch the top films and vote for their favorites. Carkeet believes that audiences “are in for a treat.”

“I don't know how my award nominees will fair against those chosen by the other judges, but rest assured [the audience] will see the best of the best.”
